This collection forms the key body of work Claire produced in 2009 and was exhibited in the Keepsakes exhibition held at Handheld Gallery, Melbourne in October 2009.

Keepsakes, relics and souvenirs give physical presence to personal and collective memories.  They stand-in for people, times and places longed for, but beyond reach.  Victorian sentimental jewellery serves as a reference in this group of jewellery, which are part of my investigation into the theme of memory and nostalgia.
